Mission Statement

The SEU Link program provides an opportunity for students with mild intellectual disabilities to experience college in an inclusive setting.  We strive to assist students with increasing their independent living, employability, and self-advocacy skills.  The use of peer mentors to provide support is an integral component of the program. As part of the SEU Christian community, we also endeavor to ensure that our students believe they are fearfully and wonderfully made by their Creator.

Internship Spotlight

Top Buttons

Founded in 2012, Top Buttons is an upscale Thrift shop that does much more than sell gently used clothing. In addition to their clothing boutiques, Top Buttons also utilizes online platforms and educational events to help empower young ladies to find their dignity and true value in Christ. Aarushi is currently working at the Top Buttons clothing boutique located in downtown Lakeland.

K-Force

Aarushi is also gaining experience working remotely for K-Force. K-Force, a successful staffing and solutions firm head-quartered in Tampa, focuses on building and managing elite teams in the technology, finance and accounting industries.

Academic Mentors

Academic mentors assist Link students by creating a supportive and positive learning environment. Through the implementation of various strategies, accountability, and appropriate modeling, Link students will gain the tools they need to achieve academic success. Academic mentors play a valuable role in fostering independent learning, helping the student to take ownership of their work. Thank you to the following students who have given hours of their time to serve our students in this capacity.
