Databases that provide persistent URLs to individual articles

Also, don't forget that if you are on campus, the durable URLs you find in these databases need to be put through the Article Link Generator in order to work off-campus.

How to find the stable URL

EBSCO databases:

Including EBSCO ebooks (Netlibrary)

Look for "Pemalink" on the right side of the article citation. These links to NOT need to be put through the Article Link Generator.

JSTOR

Look on the left for the URL that begins https://www.jstor.org/stable.... and copy that as the Stable URL. This can also be found when you click Cite this item. These URLS always need to be put through the Article Link Generator, whether you are on or off-campus.

ProQuest ebook Central 

Find the desired e-book title by searching for it in the library catalog. Click on the book title. Open the book in ProQuest and verify it has unlimited access. Then click the "Share Link to Book". These URLS always need to be put through the Article Link Generator, whether you are on or off-campus.

Click "Cite" on the left side and look for "Document URL" at the bottom of the the article citation. These links to NOT need to be put through the Article Link Generator.
